Small Steps

The birth of Campagne living started, I must be honest we had no clear vision of what we wanted Campagne living to look like, we connected with the land and in some strange way the land dictated to us.

The first steps were to clear some of the overgrown trees and bushes, just to allow ourselves to get a feel of the land.

Christo divided the land into blocks, just to make it more manageable. We tried to keep as much of the trees as possible. With help we cut the overgrown veld. The trees that were cut down were recycled with a woodchipper and was later worked back into the ground.

It was also important to determine the boundaries, and because we are animal lovers, we had to put up a boundary fence.
